Since they were founded by Scott Inglis-Kidger in 2006, the Willington School Choristers have gone from strength to strength. They rehearse most mornings and lead the school in worship by singing hymns and anthems. They present solo recitals and concerts in beautiful venues outside school and plan to make their first recording this summer. There is a strong link with St. John's Church, Wimbledon, and the choristers sing regular services there. Tours have included Belgium and Prague, and they plan to tour to Malta and New York. Salisbury Cathedral is booked for 2009. Entry to the school as a chorister is by audition between the ages of 7 and 9. Spaces may become available to older boys, depending on their ability. Scott Inglis-Kidger, Director of Music, is always willing to meet prospective choristers and their parents to discuss their possible enrolment. All choristers receive a bursary. Willington Independent Preparatory School, for boys aged 4-13, is based in the heart of Wimbledon.
