Hello Gerontius
I am looking for a choir/venue in London to make contact and possibly give a concert on our return journey to Frankfurt on 22 or 23 October 2004. Can anyone help?

The choir is returning home by coach from an exchange visit to Birmingham and is looking to make contacts in or around London with a possible exchange London/Frankfurt in the future. It is made up of young people (and some not quite so young) and will start celebrating it's 40 Anniversary Year with a concert in Frankfurk Cathederal early in 2005.

If anyone knows anyone who might be able to help I will be pleased to speak to them.
My phone no. is:- 0049 to get into Germany then -6172 26 69 69

P.S. a very interesting site and thanks for the chance to write a message.

Hello,

My name is Arkadi Duchin and I’m a professional singer/songwriter living, creating and performing in Israel.

During my years in the music industry I have composed, arranged and produced many projects. I’ve released 11 albums, which have exceeded sales of 700,000 (a record-breaking achievement for a small market such as Israel).

I’ve experienced and am familiar with many styles of music, including pop, rock, dance and classical. I have a catalogue of over 400 melodies and I am eager to collaborate with new people , singers or a lyricists

I would like to refer you to my site, where I’ve posted Demos, in which I’m guide-singing in order to mark the melody.

I've just added the choir's details to your excellent website. The internet has given vent the enthusiasm and creativeness of a huge number of individuals and organizations, and I never cease to be amazed at the amount of effort people make to build a community of like minded souls. Wow - I didn't mean to get so philosophical, but you have provided the Waverley Singers and all the other choirs with a tremendous (free!) resource.

Thanks again for this wonderful resource.

Just found your web site (thanks to the Epsom Chamber Choir librarian) which I think is great - For my sins I used to produce a thing called the London Choral Directory (in hard copy) - if you send me a postal address I will send you a copy as there may be some info you can use.

I was delighted to see the music hire list - what a good idea - I hope to be adding some useful (and possibly unusual items soon) - and registering my own choir.

Gerontius is filling a gap rather well I think.

However, do you think it might be an idea to carve London up a bit? All of the great city will eventually generate a very, very long list of concerts!

Otherwise, keep up the sterling work.

-- We could carve up London. How would we do it? Central, North, West, South, East? Or we could follow the postcodes and have different sections for SW, W, NW, N etc. What do Londoners think? Tim

Great Site - It is a very useful tool for anyone trying to find a choir to suit them. It was previously a rather time consuming affair.
Thankyou for the site

I am disappointed to see that you have no choirs listed in the Tyneside/Northumberland area, I trust that our (Alnwick Choral's) committee will be rectifying this in the immediate future.
I was looking for a come and sing in the next few months/around Xmas, do you 'advertise for choirs who run such events..?

-- Yes, choirs are welcome to publicise come and sing events on the notice board or in the concert diary. Tim

This is such an excellent site - it's clear and well laid out and the search facilities are brilliant. It should be the definitive UK choir site. I'll spread the word...

It's great for choirs like us, and I'm sure will be really useful for the punters too.
