About the gerontius concert archive database

We hope that as time goes on the gerontius concert archive will become a useful source of information and ideas for people who are responsible for concert programming and for people who are interested in choral music in general.

The archive contains concerts which first appeared on the gerontius concert diary.

When concerts are deleted from the gerontius concert diary (this happens automatically a day or two after the concert) they are transferred to the concert archive.

Most of the concerts in the archive date from 1 December 2000 when the site was launched.

The concert archive is fully searchable by keyword, dates, location (nearest post town) and choir.

Choirs have full control over the listings of their concerts held in the archive and can add, change and delete concerts (using their usual user name and password). Choirs may wish to retrospectively add details of their concerts to the archive so that a searchable database of their past concert programmes is held on the world wide web.
