Come and Sing Faure Requiem and Britten St Nicolas - 6th March 2010

We are holding a "Come and Sing" event at St Peter's Church, Streatham on 6th March 2010, this has been rescheduled from last November when we had to postpone it due to a complete failure of the heating system. A new heating system is in place and we are ready to give a warm welcome to any singers who would like to join us to sing these two jewels of the choral repertoire.
St Peter's is one of South London's hidden gems; a magnificent Victorian Gothic building housing an exceptionally fine four-manual William Hill organ and a choir who sings to a very high standard. Sadly, the organ is in need of a good deal of restoration work for which we are seeking funds.
The event is welcome to all singers with some experience who either know one or both of the above works or who has tolerably good sightreading. They will be accompanied by a professional orchestra, partaking in a day of workshops and rehearsals culminating in a performance in the evening, all for just £10!

If you don't fancy singing but would like to listen, there will be a performance at 7.30 in the evening, price £10, tickets available on the door.
