How to find work in music - Agencies, choirs, self promotion?

Hello.

I'm not much of a musician, however, my girlfriend is.

She has an MA Musical Performance and specialises in choir singing, opera singing, that kind of thing.

But I'm worried that she will let her talent slip if she continues to avoid working towards a career in singing, so I want to help while she's away at work.Angelic

Problem being, that I know so little about music, I don't know where to start looking. The three things I need help with are as follows:

- I thought maybe suggesting she sign up to an agency, but I don't know any good ones, if there are any. Any suggestions?

- She's currently singing in a choir, but only once a week tops. Is this a good pass time? Should she search for more choirs to practice with? Are there better choirs to promote yourself with?

- I was considering making some promotional material, like a website. Is this worthwhile? Who allows musical uploads and supplies a flash music player? One that keep copies of music fairly secure?

If you know anything about how to get into the music industry (specifically choir, but I'm sure anything will help), please let me know so I can help her reach her goals before she forgets them. I don't want her to have any regrets if she falls into a job just for a steady income.

Cheers,

Johno
