St George's Singers 2008 Singing Day

Brahms 'German Requiem' - sung in English, conductor Neil Taylor

Saturday 19 January 2008, St George's Church, Poynton, Cheshire

Come and join St George's Singers for the day to rehearse and perform one of the great choral works. All welcome!

Soloists: Marcus Farnsworth (baritone), Nicola Mills (soprano)

Tickets: £20 (singers), £5 (audience)

Registration from 9.30 pm, concert begins 6.00pm

Food and refreshments available during the day.

About Neil Taylor: Neil is an experienced choral conductor and musical director, as well as an acclaimed organist. A former choister of Bradford Cathedral, Neil won a scholarship to the RCM in 1986. He was Organ Scholar at St Albans Cathedral and Assistant Organist at Norwich Cathedral before taking up the post of ORganist and Master of the Music at Sheffield Cathedral. Neil joined St George's Singers as Musical Director in September 2006. He has directed and assisted at choral courses in Aldeburgh, Astria, Italy and Mexico, as well as the famous Eton Choral courses, and is also Artistic Director of the Sheffield Cathedral Arts Festival.
