Calling all Choirs…
Manchester Amateur Choral Competition
My name is Jon Atkin and in November this year I am organising an amateur Choral Competition, to be held in Manchester. The Competition will take place on Saturday 22nd November at the Royal Northern College of Music and will be open to all choirs, of any size (up to approx 100), musical style and ability. Each choir will have approximately 12 minutes in which to perform as many or few songs as they wish and will be judged by a panel of experts. It is also planned that choirs will be able to perform in public venues around the city in the part of the day when they are not on stage at the RNCM.
The competition has recently been awarded Lottery funding. The winning choir will be awarded not only the title, but also some free recording time.
The Manchester Amateur Choral Competition website is now up and running (see www.themacc.org.uk) Full application details can be found there. Please feel free to email me at email@example.com if you have any questions.
I hope to hear from you soon,
