Frank Ticheli performances in UK?

Does anyone know of a past performance anywhere in the UK of Frank Ticheli's 'There will be rest', (published in USA in 2000)? Coro Nostro Chamber Choir intend to perform it in Leicester in June, and we are wondering if it will be the first UK performance...

Re: [robertvkenny] Frank Ticheli performances in UK?

I've done a search on Concert Diary
http://www.concert-diary.com
and on the gerontius concert archive.
http://www.gerontius.net/cgi-bin/concertarchive.cgi?db=concertarchive&uid=default&view_search=1
I looked from 2000 to today.

Both these sites allow you to look at past concerts.

Concert diary has 6 performances of pieces by Frank Ticheli - mainly for wind band. Nothing Choral

gerontius has one concert including music by Ticheli, a concert given by the Oxford choir Commotio on 9 Jun 2007. The concert entry doesn't say what the work was. You could ask them:
http://www.commotio.org/

I'm not sure where else to look. I presume you've done a google search?

I hope this helps.

best wishes

Tim

Re: [Tim] Frank Ticheli performances in UK?

Thanks Tim! Yes I searched on Google and found a press release for Commotio's June 2007 concert, which mentions several composers by name but not Ticheli. I have emailed to ask which piece (if any) they performed.

Re: [robertvkenny] Frank Ticheli performances in UK?

Dear Tim, Matt Berry of Commotio tells me they did not include any Ticheli in their June concert, so it looks as though Coro Nostro will give the UK premiere of 'There will be rest' in Leicester on 17 June. There are a few vacancies in all voices for new members who would like to join us for this concert, entitled 'The Music of Stillness'... programme includes works by, Byrd, Tallis, Victoria, Poulenc, Messiaen, Brahms, Parry, Stanford, Elgar, Ticheli.
