Putney choir needs new leader

Our lovely leader who formed our local community singing group and has been leading it ever since, has just announced that she has to move away from London. We are all quite distraught and are desparate to find someone else who might be interested in taking over from her.

We have been singing together for 3 years and meet once a week (usually on a Wednesday) at 8pm for an hour at St Margaret’s Church in Putney Park Lane, in South West London. We love the sounds which can be produced with the human voice even from the simplest songs and harmonies. On Saturday we sang at a wedding during the signing of the registrar and have sung at other local community events.

The group is informal and friendly and because we have a fairly large core group many of whom work, attendance on any evening is usually between 15 – 24.

If you can think of anyone who might be interested we would love to hear from you. For further details please do ring one of the following numbers:

020 7736 5885 during the day(ask for Grazyna) or

020 8876 8292 (ask for Janis)

Re: [janis] Putney choir needs new leader

Very sad news!

Sadly I wouldn't be able to help as I run Roehampton University Chorus on Wednesday nights. If the worst comes to the worst, please do know that you'd be very welcome to join us. However I keep my fingers crossed that you'll find someone who can keep your choir moving forward and having fun. You can never have too many groups!

All the best,

Michelle

Michelle

Thank you so much for your response. We have a few leads which is good - I guess that you do not know of anyone else who might be interested?

Hiya Janis, I'm afraid not - Wednesdays seems to be a popular night! Fingers crossed for your leads.
