Fauré Workshop - Croydon, 5 June 2004

The Jubilate Choir has organised a workshop, to take place on Saturday 5th June, at All Saints church in Shirley (Croydon) During the afternoon, from 1 p.m., we shall rehearse two popular works by Gabriel Fauré: the Requiem (opus 48) and Cantique de Jean Racine (opus 11). There will be an informal performance in the evening, starting at 7 p.m.

The workshop will be led by Janet Haney, Musical Director of the Jubilate Choir, and by Susan Waters. Janet is on the staff of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama as accompanist and vocal coach, and works with singers at a number of companies, including the Royal Opera House, Pavilion Opera and others. Susan Waters is currently Professor of Singing at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, as well as leading choir workshops. She is vocal coach to the choristers of King’s College, Cambridge, and teaches regularly on the Eton Summer Choral courses.

The fee for the workshop is £8.00. Bookings should be made with Ms Chris Roseberg, 186 Croxted Road, Dulwich, London SE21 8NW (telephone 020 8670 3300). When booking, please state voice (soprano /alto /tenor /bass) and whether you will need to hire a score (£1 fee payable on the day). Audience tickets for the evening performance will cost £5.
