The Chester and North Wales Organist and Choirmasters with St. Alkmund’s Church Choir are hold a free Choral Workshop for singers, organists and conductors on Monday 24th May at 7-30pm in St. Alkmund’s Church, Whitchurch.



The workshop is aimed as a taster session for anyone interested in choral singing and in joining the St. Alkmund’s Choir, to which new members are warmly welcome. Anyone who is interested can just come along and can either come to just observed what’s going on, join in the singing by joining the choir for the night, have a go a conducting a choir or have try on the historic pipe organ in the church. The workshop is free, there is no need to book a place, just turn up at 7-30pm all that’s needed is an enjoyment of music and singing.



The event is an exciting opportunity to experience choral music with an experienced conductor and workshop leader. The workshop will be led by Graham Eccles a former Organist and Choirmaster at Chester and St. Asaph’s Cathedral and a former student at the Royal Northern College of Music. He is also a regular accompanist for BBC Religion, a visiting tutor in organ at the University of Bangor and is deputy conductor of both St. Asaph and Colwyn Bay Choral Societies.



There is free parking available at the church and also disabled access into the church. There will also be coffee and tea available through out the evening.
