Come and Sing Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle - with Robert Dean

We are holding a "Come and Sing" event at St Peter's Church, Streatham on 14th May 2011. St Peter's is one of South London's hidden gems; a magnificent Victorian Gothic building housing an exceptionally fine four-manual William Hill organ and a choir who sings to a very high standard. Sadly, the organ is in need of a good deal of restoration work for which we are seeking funds.

The event is open to any singers with some experience who either know the Rossini or who have reasonably good sightreading. There will be a day of workshops and rehearsals culminating in a performance in the evening, all for just £15! It will begin at 10.30 am with a session led by Philip Collin, the Director of Music at St Peter's (me) . More excitingly, the afternoon session and evening performance will be led by Robert Dean.

Anyone who is interested in taking part should e-mail music@stpeters-streatham.org .
