COME AND SING (Shropshire, 10 July)

‘Come and Sing!!’
At St. Alkmund’s Church, Whitchurch, Shropshire
On Saturday 10th July 2004.
Directed by Ian Thomas. St. Alkmund's Choir
The day is made up of a light rehearsal singing a range of music from Byrd to Karl Jenkins during the afternoon followed by a concert in the evening. Featuring:
St. Nicholas Mass by Haydn
Laudate Dominum by Mozart
Benedictus from the Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins
Ave Maria from the Vespers by Rachmanioff
Greater Love hath no man, John Ireland
Like as the heart, Herbert Howells.
Motets by William Byrd
Schedule for the Day
2-00pm to 2-30pm Register/ Picking up Music
2-45pm to 3-30pm Rehearsal
Break (15 minutes)
3-45 to 4-55pm Rehearsal
7-30pm Concert attended by local dignitaries.
All singers are invited and very welcome to come along and enjoy this event. The hire of the music for the day is free and there will be coffee/tea available through out the day in the church. There is no fee for the day but for the concert is the evening will cost none singers 1.50 pound for entrance.
The church has its own large car park, toilet in the church and disabled access.
