TENORS wanted in the Chesterfeld Area!

THE CHESTERFIELD BACH CHOIR, a chamber choir in Derbyshire, is looking for TENORS!

Following a successful recruitment programme, the choir faces an exciting season in 2012. The choir sings two main concerts per year, plus an annual "Come And Sing" Day, as well as cathedral visits. It performs a variety of acappella music from plainsong to the present day, as well as works accompanied by organ or by a chamber orchestra. In 2012, it will sing in Southwell and Derby Cathedrals, as well as concerts with music by Andreas, Anerio, Bach, Buxtehude, Britten, Faure, Handel, Hassler, Parsons, Rachmaninov, Rheinberger, Schutz, Stainer, Vaughan Williams and Vivaldi.

We currently have about 25 members, split 8.8.2.7, and so are primarily looking for any tenors who like to sing good quality choral music, and who would like to sing with an exceedingly friendly group of singers, who also have an active social calendar. We are also ideally looking for another couple of sopranos and another bass or two, but our prime concern is obviously to build up our tenor line!

For more information, without obligation, please get in touch with the choir's MD, Paul Hayward - email p.hayward@gmail.com or visit our website (soon to be updated!) at www.chesterfieldbachchoir.org.uk and use a contact link there.
