New chamber choir in Blackheath, London

The Conservatoire in Blackheath is holding auditions for a brand new chamber choir.
Aimed at experienced choral singers, the group will be presenting its inaugural concert at St James Piccadilly in July, and will work on a project basis. Singers are therefore welcome to apply regardless of their availability next term, since the group will be fixed from a central pool for each concert. Repertoire will be wide ranging from Renaissance polyphony to commissions from established and emerging British composers. Our first concert will have a British flavour, including works by Howells, Holst and MacMillan.
Directed by Hilary Campbell, the group will rehearse in Blackheath in the weeks leading up to a performance, and welcomes interest from experienced and enthusiastic choral singers of all ages. Auditions will be held on 18 and 19 April.
