Your thoughts - Solomon Maccabeus or St Paul

Hello
I run a 75 strong choral society and each year we like to do a "book" with orchestra. We love Handel and Mendelssohn & I was thinking of doing something by these other than Messiah / Elijah.
Has anyone experience of Handel Solomon or Judas Maccabeus / Mendelssohn St Paul - are they engaging for the choir? Too long / short? Too much / little for chorus? Complexities with soloists or orchestra requirements? Anything else?
