6 Centuries Chamber CHoir

I'm forming a new chamber choir: ‘The Six Centuries Chamber Choir’ – and, just like it says on the tin, we will sing something from each of the centuries from the 16th up to the 21st.

The singing will be interspersed with music from pro instrumentalists, and in addition we will be joined by a poet who will read relevant poems from each century. It’s going to be a really interesting and eclectic mix!

The first concert is on 21 June in London and the programme will be:

Byrd: Sing Joyfully
Monteverdi: “Hor ch'el Ciel e la Terra” from Madrigals book 8
Bach: Motet “Komm, Jesu, Komm” BWV 229
Brahms: Der Abend Op.64.2
Eric Whitacre: Water Night
Peter Fender: How do I love thee / I never saw a moor

Let me know if you would like to be involved. Rehearsals are 11th June (eve), 14th (pm), 18th (eve). I'm particularly looking for men :-)

And please pass this on to any singer friends who might be interested (note that you need to be able to read well).
