Bass required for the Warlock Singers

The Warlock Singers would like to audition prospective new members and currently has a vacancy for a bass. The Warlock Singers, directed by Graham Dinnage, is a new choir named after the composer Peter Warlock. We focus mainly, but not exclusively, on British music. Our inaugural concerts were held in December 2004 in Limpsfield and Eynsford, and a review of the Eynsford concert is posted on this site. We have already received three prospective bookings for concerts for prestigious music societies (further details when these are confirmed) and plan to do concerts in Limpsfield (Surrey) and in other local churches in March, May, October and December. We rehearse in Crockham Hill (Kent).

All voices are auditioned, and a good standard of sight-reading is essential. We have a few intensive rehearsals 5-6 weeks before each concert, rather than a regular weekly rehearsal. These happen on different days of the week to accommodate members' other regular choral committments.

To fix an audition please call or email the secretary Vivienne Cox on 01732 866372 email vivienne.cox@spring-well.com.

Graham Dinnage also runs other choirs in the area so if you are looking for a regular singing committment there may be other opportunities.
