Sopranos and Tenors needed in Settle!

COME AND SING HANDEL, SETTLE, NORTH YORKSHIRE - 9TH MARCH 2019

Book a date to come and sing some great Handellian music in the 260th year since his death, which will include the favourite 'Zadock the Priest', but also the largely neglected 'Foundling Hospital Anthem' (which contains the Halleluia Chorus). There will also be some other Oratorio extracts and the day will conclude with a short performance of music from the day which will be open to the public.

The day will be led by Tim Knight, the Award-winning Yorkshire Composer and Conductor (find out more about Tim at www.timknightmusic.com), and the event takes place in the lovely market town of Settle, which is the Gateway to the Dales, and full of gift shops, cafes, a rather fine fish and chip shop and within a short driving distance a fine waterside retail outlet.
Settle is easily accessible by road (off the A65) and there is ample car parking opposite the church, or you can take the picturesque Settle to Carlisle line and arrive by train, with the church being approximately a 10minute walk from the station.

Registration and Coffee: 09.45 - 10.15
Rehearsal session 1: 10.30 - 12.30
Lunch break: 12.30 - 14.00
Rehearsal session 2: 14.15 - 16.15
Tea-time break: 16:15 - 17.15
Concert: 17.30 - 19.00

Singers Tickets include all music and teas and coffees in the breaks, but not lunch or food before the concert, but as mentioned above there are plenty of places in Settle to eat, there may be catering in the church, or singers can provide their own meals.

Come and start off your year with some fine music in a lovely venue but note the event has limited capacity (80 singers).

Prices: £15.00 for singers; £5.00 for audience members
