Handel's Much-Loved 'Messiah'

Alton-based choir Luminosa Voices will perform Handel’s much-loved Messiah in St Andrew’s Church Farnham on Saturday 23rd November at 7.30pm.
The choir, led by Artistic Director Rebekah Abbott, will be accompanied by the Surrey Chamber Players who have earned a reputation for imaginative, exciting performances across a wide repertoire. On this occasion they will perform as a smaller ensemble, authentic to the Baroque period and reflecting earlier performances of Messiah. We are also pleased to welcome back soloists including Michaela Parry (Contralto), Ed Hughes (Tenor) and Ben Cooper (Bass) of the Glyndebourne Opera Company.
During the interval concertgoers can enjoy a glass of wine to complement the performance and a retiring collection will be taken for Cystic Fibrosis at Frimley Park (CF@FP), the Choir’s charity for 2019, to help local sufferers of this life-limiting genetic condition.
Thanks to the sponsorship of BaByliss, tickets are priced at just £15 and are available now by emailing boxoffice@luminosamusic.com. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketsource.co.uk/luminosamusic and at local venues in Farnham. More information can be found on the choir’s website www.luminosamusic.com.
