The Meljon Singers, East London's most accomplished and innovative vocal ensemble (24 voices), has vacancies for tenors and altos.
We offer: the chance to sing a wide range of music, much of it outside the mainstream a cappella repertoire, in a variety of different styles and traditions; a fast-moving and stimulating rehearsal pace; opportunities for solos, and to take part in tours, recordings and collaborations with other choirs on larger-scale works; a lively social atmosphere
We seek: a high level of vocal ability and good sight reading; an enjoyment of a cappella and chamber ensemble singing; a commitment to performance; regular rehearsal attendance.
We perform four to five concerts a season, one usually in central London, and the others in our home performing areas around East London and Essex. We schedule about 7-8 rehearsals per concert, which take place at St John's Church, Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex.
