Musical Director in North Hertfordshire

The North Herts Guild of Singers (NHGS) is a successful mixed voice choir of about 120 members. We perform four major concerts each year, together with occasional smaller concerts, workshops and overseas concerts. We rehearse in Hitchin, North Hertfordshire on Thursday evenings from 7.45pm to 9.45pm with a professional accompanist.
We are seeking to appoint a talented and dynamic Musical Director to continue the development of the choir and its repertoire. The successful candidate will need to be able to make rehearsals and concerts both enjoyable and challenging for all members of the choir. This will require excellent communication skills and experience of choral training. The candidate will also need to have experience of working with professional orchestras and soloists.

The closing date for completed applications will be 5th February 2006. Interviews for short-listed candidates will then will be held on 25th February 2006 with the final 3 candidates having an audition with the choir on 9th March 2006.
