Recording cd and getting correct permission
FrownI would be very grateful if anyone could help with advice. Our youth choir would like to record their first CD. We are ok with someone to record for us but the PRS and getting correct permission seems to a bit of a nightmare. If anyone has achieved their own recordings I would love to have a chat.

Your local branch of Making Music http://www.makingmusic.org.uk should be able to help with this. I went to a great seminar held by the London branch in the summer entitled 'how to record your choir' and they should have plenty of info at the London office. PRS Licensing does look a bit of a nightmare. Frown

Haven't made any recordings of our choir yet, but it's something we may think about.
