St George's Singers 2007 Singing Day

St George's Singers are holding their annual Singing Day on Saturday 13 January 2007 at St George's Church, Poynton, Cheshire, and will be rehearsing and putting on a performance of Orff's Carmina Burana. The Singing Day will be taken for the first time by SGS' new Musical Director, Neil Taylor. Neil is Master of the Music at Sheffield Cathedral, and a highly experienced choral conductor and an acclaimed organist. He has directed and assisted at choral courses in Aldeburgh, Austria, Italy and Mexico, as well as the Eton Choral Courses, and is Artistic Director of the Sheffield Cathedral Arts Festival.

The Singing Day begins with registration at 10.00 am, and the evening performance starts at 6.00 pm. For more information, please download a brochure from the SGS website at www.st-georges-singers.org.uk.
