Voicelab - South Bank Centre

There was a little piece on the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning, featuring Willard White and Mary King, about an activity called Voicelab taking part at the South Bank Centre in London.

On 24 and 25 February at 11am and 3pm, you can take part in "Open Voice" sessions in the Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer. "Come along and take part in a mass sing and hear more about being part of Voicelab. You can then sign up to receive information about getting involved in our forthcoming projects, including Southbank Centre's reopening of Royal Festival Hall in June."

At the sessions you can also sign up for "an audition to be part of a group that will record the new Dominic Muldowney commission for Channel 4's War Oratorio, a major new music film about war in our time." The auditions take place on 3 and 4 March, with rehearsals during March weekends. It hints that there will be other projects with which this group will be involved. The rehearsals seem to be in the Purcell Room at SBC.
