men wanted in Milton Keynes Can't Post

The Canzonetta Singers based in Milton Keynes would really like to have a few more male singers. Although we are a choir of around 30 we are able to put on big works due to our MD's amazing ability to transcribe the complete orchestral score into Sibelius which is used for both rehearsal and performance.

We are virtually self funding through weddings etc, and our membership fees are microscopic.

We are currently rehearsing the Verdi requiem, which surprisingly sounds good for a small number of singers. We can turn the "orchestra" down to match the sound levels.

We always cover the solo parts from within the ranks of the choir. In addition to requiring a few more basses and equally a few more tenors, we are particularly keen to secure a tenor who would be able to take on the solos for this work.

If you would like to join, or require more details, please contact the choir via the website www.canzonetta.co.uk.

Oh, and by the way we would welcome more ladies too.

thanks

Colin (deputy chairman)
