Brighton & Hove Chutzpah choir - looking for new members Can't Post

Music lovers of all backgrounds and singing levels are invited, no experience necessary.
The choir material features Jewish and other east European folk songs in Yiddish, Niggunim (the age old Jewish “songs without words”), also songs in Hebrew, Ladino, Russian and Ukrainian, combined with original compositions, challenging improvisation, with special attention to folk elements in singing; mainly a cappella. We also learn about historic context of our material, carefully translating all our texts and paying attention to details of the musical language. We perform several times a year at various events...
Teaching - mainly by ear. Sessions every Wednesday from 7 to 8.45 pm near Hove station.
