What's in a name? Marlow Community Choir at Borlase (MD Gillian Dibden) was formed in 2006 as an initiative of the Sir William Borlase's Grammar School in Marlow as a community outreach initiative when the school was granted Performing Arts status in order to bring together parents, relatives, friends, teachers and the wider community from a 10-15 mile radius around the town. The policy is Open Access with a wide range of abilities. The choir is supported by the local education authority and has grown in srength and experience. The next concert, Britten's Saint Nicolas brings together two Bucks-based choirs (MCCaB and Taplow Girls' Choir) at a Berkshire venue (All Saints church in Maidenhead, SL6 4HE) on 31st January reflecting the essence of Community. www.bucksinfo.net/mccab
