AUDITIONS open to Male Gospel Singers Can't Post

Gospel Choir based in Edmonton, Enfield, currently has an audition opening for male Gospel singers.

The choir is called Pure Gospel Community Choir (PGCC), and have big plans for doing a lot of work for the community; in particular communities of the vulnerable and excluded of society. Alongside this, PGCC also plan to accept commercial offers of work, as long as this work is Gospel. Any commercial work that is not Gospel, will still be forwarded to all choir members to accept as individuals should they wish. We are in mid-process of establishing and constituting ourselves, but we celebrated our debut performance at Trafalgar Square for a Community Christmas Sing on 17th December 2009.

We are very interested to meet other male singers looking to join a performing choir that consists of both professional and amateur Gospel singers, and wish to become active volunteers for the outer community. Our community plans for 2009 include holding concerts for various charities; in particular Great Ormond Street Hospital, delivering a London Prison Tour in the summer, holding school workshops, and a debut performance for the original Gospel music we are in the process of commissioning especially for PGCC. We also plan to bring in London-based vocal experts to hold workshops/sessions in improving vocal technique, so that our first album that we have scheduled for recording in late summer/early autumn will sound crisp and fresh!

Pure Gospel Community Choir hopes to fulfill it's name by singing purely Gospel music of different styles: Classical, A Capella, Jazz, Negro Spirituals, and Contemporary Gospel. Alongside the performances, we aim to encourage members to get involved in song writing/composition for the choir.

We also just want to have a good time, so if this is something you might be interested in, it would be fantastic to hear from you. We invite you to reply with the following information:
- an email address we can contact you with.
- a description of your current experience in choral and/or solo singing.
- an example of your singing (mySpace, purevolume) if you have one.

Thanks, and good luck!
