In June, renaissance vocal ensemble Siglo de Oro will be performing ‘Songs of Sorrow and Salvation’ at three East Anglian venues, before returning to London to give a concert at The Rosslyn Hill Chapel in Hampstead.
Siglo de Oro - June Concerts
The programme is a musical exploration of the Holy Week narrative, using powerful works from the 16th and 17th centuries to depict the Passion and Resurrection. The music performed will include Antonio Lotti’s Crucifixus and Henry Purcell’s Hear My Prayer, as well as motets by John Taverner, Tomas Luis de Victoria and Sebastian de Vivanco.
