Finchley Chamber Choir is looking for new singers Can't Post

Finchley Chamber Choir is currently looking for a few new voices. It is a friendly but hard-working locally based group of about 35 singers, usually giving five concerts each season in Trinity Church, Nether Street, North Finchley, N12 7NN, as well as other occasional performances at home and abroad, and has broadcast on the BBC. Our regular rehearsal night is Tuesdays (7.45-10.00pm) at our concert venue.

The choir performs the widest range and variety of music, from the Renaissance through to new commissions, from unaccompanied motets and part-songs through to full-scale choral works accompanied by our sister organisation Finchley Chamber Orchestra. In fact, if it’s suitable for FCC, we sing it! We aim for the highest standards and work quickly so some sight-reading ability is required. There are regular opportunities for solo work (not obligatory!) - almost all solos are performed by choir members.

If you’re interested, please talk to Richard Cox (Secretary) on 020 8815 9422 or email secretary@fcchoir.co.uk. He’ll send you an application form and then invite you to come and sing in a couple of rehearsals, so that you have a chance to meet and hear us. After this you’ll be asked to do a simple audition to give our musical director, David Lardi,a chance to listen to you. You’ll only pay subscriptions if you decide to join and complete the audition. Following your audition, you’ll receive a 50% discount on your first term’s subscription. Richard can give you full details.
