WORKSHOP FULL
A one-day choral workshop focusing on the technical aspects of singing and how to match your sound to the style of music you’re performing.
Hosted by the St Paulinus Singers and led by singing coach and former British Voice Association President, Stuart Barr (www.stuartbarr.net) this workshop will improve your basic technique, give you the tools to protect your voice and remedy the 7 most common technical issues stopping you from reaching your vocal potential.
Now we’ve built the sound, we’ll show you how to use it.
You wouldn’t sing Verdi in the same way you would Bohemian Rhapsody. Matching style to sound is critical for producing electric performances and we’ll show you just how to deliver the right sound at the right time to leave the audience on their feet. This session will focus on the difference between Renaissance and heavier Classical sounds
Costs
£15 per person + an item to add to the lunch buffet.

Venue
The workshop will be held at Westfield Farm, Sherrif Hutton – just outside York. A beautiful, converted farm with wooden floors and grand pianos in every room.
