St. Alkmund's Choir, Whitchurch, Shropshire Can't Post

St. Alkmund's Choir would warmly welcome any new members for any voice/part. We currently have 25 members (and a 30 strong Junior Choir) and are looking to expand our work and education programme. We undertake concerts, choral festivals, workshops, an active education outeach programme, have built up close links with local composers and have commissioned a new choral work for 2005.

We have also developed a choral training programme for any age and for anyone interested in choral singing. The programme runs on a Wednesday evening between 7-15pm and 8-30pm in St. Alkmund’s Church, Whitchurch. The programme covers a wide range of music and skills such as World Music, Scared Music and Secular Music.

Each member receives a welcome pack which includes a training workbook, details of courses, concerts and workshops, facts sheets about the music we are learning and also music resource packs. Members get perform regularly in concerts, choral festivals, visiting and singing in cathedrals and the choir is about to commission a new choral work for 2005.
