Concert in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care Can't Post

The Addison Singers Chamber Choir and Glasgow based female choir, Aria, are performing in a joint concert in Holy Innocents Church, Paddenswick road, Hammersmith on 6th November at 7.30pm. Profits are going to a very worthy cause, Marie Curie Cancer Care.

It will prove to be a very beautiful programme with plenty of highlights even the most exciting of firework displays won't be able to compete with!

Please pass this information on to as many people as you can and if anyone is interested in tickets, please e-mail me at claire_m_i@yahoo.co.uk or see details on the Addison website www.addison-singers.org.uk

The Addison Singers Chamber Choir is a small choir for skilled singers exploring a varied repertoire from the Renaissance to the present day.

The Addison Group of Singers (AGS) is made up of different classes and choirs for singers of all ages, abilities and from all walks of life. It was founded over 25 years ago, has been a registered charity for over 15 years, and is well known in West London.

Aria is a vocal group from Glasgow made up of eight friends who have been singing together since childhood. Aria are accompanied by musician and musical director Jim Drennan.

The group have an extensive repertoire of music from sacred and classical to folk and modern and sing both as a group and as solo performers. The repertoire includes classics from Mozart and Handel as well as more modern classics by Bernstein and even Snow Patrol so there is truly something for everyone. As they have been singing together for twenty years, the balance is almost perfect. Aria have performed at numerous concerts and functions since their formation from being guest artists of high profile choirs to winning the Glasgow Orpheus Choir trophy at the Glasgow Music Festival last year.
