Singing Weekend in the Cotswolds – 23-25 July 2004 Can't Post

TAKE TWENTY, is a group of c.20 singers based in London – a vocal harmony group performing 4-8 part original arrangements of jazz standards, pop, latin and show tunes, in and around the capital. We are normally accompanied by piano and bass, though some arrangements are a capella.

Every summer we retreat to the countryside for a weekend of music-making (in the sun, if we're lucky), where we attempt to tackle a pad of new numbers – as well as busy ourselves socialising and participating in a Saturday evening cabaret of solo and small group performances, open to all (and always al lot of fun).

This year we are going to stay in Charney Manor in Charney Bassett, Oxfordshire (about 90 minutes from London), described as one of the oldest inhabited houses in Britain – a delightful 13th century building in beautiful grounds and surrounded by pretty countryside and nice walks.

We welcome participants from outside the group – we generally end up with about 40 people (last year we had visitors from Canada and Norway, as well as England). So, if you can read a little music, love singing and would like to join an enthusiastic group of music lovers, just email the address below for further details.

Inclusive prices for the weekend, covering music copies, tuition, all meals and 2 nights accommodation are: £127.50 for en-suite and £120 for shared bathroom facilities.
