East European Choir at UCL welcomes new singers
JOIN ANY TIME - we are now starting a new season...
Weekly sessions on Thursdays 6.30 – 8.00 pm
New season: 31 March 2011 - 16 June
The choir sings traditional lyrical and epic songs, ritual calendar music for pagan holidays, seasonal songs, wedding songs and weeping songs from East European cultures. Everything is sung in original languages and carefully translated, transliterations are available too; we also talk about history and context of each song.
The choir is composed of UCL students, staff and other interested members of the public of all backgrounds and singing levels.
Cost: 5 ponds per session, first session can be paid separately, then the remaining sessions paid in advance on the second appearance.
