East European Choir at UCL welcomes new singers

RUSSIAN, BULGARIAN, YIDDISH, MACEDONIAN, UKRAINIAN, TATAR AND OTHER SONGS TAUGHT BY EAST EUROPEAN CHOIR LEADERS JOIN ANY TIME - we are now starting a new season... Weekly sessions on Thursdays 6.30 – 8.00 pm New season: 31 March 2011 - 16 June The choir sings traditional lyrical and epic songs, ritual calendar music for pagan holidays, seasonal songs, wedding songs and weeping songs from East European cultures. Everything is sung in original languages and carefully translated, transliterations are available too; we also talk about history and context of each song.
