Do you conduct a choir, or lead the singing in any kind of vocal group? Whether you have some experience or a complete beginner this course is for you.

This one day course is for anyone who leads a singing group from large scale choral society to primary school class teacher. The course will run on two separate levels. The Starter level is for those who have little or no experience and wish to build confidence in basic skills and techniques. The Ongoing level is for those who have some experience and wish to develop their conducting. The day will be lively, fun, interactive and will include:

•Gesture and communication
•Effective use of warm-ups
•Vocal technique
•Rehearsal planning
•Repertoire/programming

The cost is £65 per person and £55 for members of ABCD and Making Music. Observers fee £10. Under 25’s – there are four FREE places for those who apply for one of our bursary places.
