200 Singers needed for new commission in East London

Spitalfields Music is currently recruiting singers of all voices to form a 200-strong choir for Fire - a fantastic new work to be performed at the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival 2012 and at the Southbank Centre's New Music 20x12 Weekend Celebrations.
Fire by David Bruce is a celebratory PRS for Music Foundation New Music 20x12 commission from The Opera Group and Salisbury International Arts Festival. The London premiere and grand finale of the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival will be performed around a huge fire pit in Spitalfields Market with a team of fire-artists, an ensemble of French horns and us!
Key Dates
Tuesday 27 March - Introductory Session: Meet the Composer, 6.30-8.30pm at the Attlee Centre (E1 6RT)
May/June 2012 - Rehearsals
Saturday 23 June - Performance at the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival
Saturday 14 July - Performance at the Southbank Centre
