London City Voices - new choir in City of London Can't Post

London City Voices

London City Voices is a new community choir in the City of London. The aim is to give people who work in the City a place to sing their hearts out one evening a week after work. The main repertoire will be contemporary pop and folk tunes. At the moment we’ve just started working on Higher and Higher (Jackie Wilson) and Make You Feel My Love (Adele).

No experience, training or expertise is necessary, and you don’t need to be able to read music – complete beginners are welcome. We are an audition-free choir, the important thing is to want to sing!

We have secured the amazing space at St Mary-At-Hill for rehearsals – a Christopher Wren building with an incredible acoustic and a beautiful Bluthner grand piano.

The choir costs £10 per session or £50 for 6 sessions. If you choose the £50 bundle you receive a “loyalty card” to have stamped when you come to a session, so you don’t need to worry if you can’t make it one week. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 6.30-8. We’re a very social group so you’ll find us at the nearby pub afterwards as well! Smile
