Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus
Come along and have a sing- no experience required!
The Chorus is currently recruiting for new members; please join us for an open rehearsal on Monday 15 October and Monday 22 October. We rehearse on Monday nights 7:15-9:30pm at The Backstage Centre, High House Production Park, Purfleet. For more information, please email getinvolved@roh.org.uk or telephone 01708 891200.
ROH Thurrock Community Chorus was established in May 2011 by ROH Education in Thurrock. The Chorus works on a mixed repertoire but with a focus on opera choruses, both established and new work, and the Royal Opera House repertoire.
The Chorus is run on a weekly basis during term time and is open to people who live, work or study in Thurrock aged ten and up. There is no formal audition process, but members are expected to be able to sing in tune and have a love for choral singing.
The Chorus aims to give a minimum of three public performances per year and to become a key component of Thurrock's community and cultural calendar.
