Henley Choral Society is building a substantial chorus to perform the magnificent Verdi Requiem in Reading on June 8th . We have had a superb response, but, as is often the case, we need more men. There are no auditions so don't miss this opportunity.
Lend us a TENOR (or bass) for Verdi Requiem Henley and Reading
The Verdi Requiem Workshop, with inspirational young conductor Will Dawes, is from 10.30am – 4.00pm on Saturday 27th April, 2013 at St Mary’s, Henley-on-Thames. It will be followed by an informal performance at 5.00pm. The early-bird fee is £15.00 p.p. for bookings before March 31st and £20.00 thereafter. Under 25s are free.
Singers joining the Workshop will also be invited to attend a number of rehearsals and then sing the Verdi Requiem in the beautiful surroundings of Reading Concert Hall on Saturday June 8th with Southern Sinfonia, a huge chorus and a stellar cast of soloists: Sophie Bevan, Kate Symonds-Joy, David Butt Philip and James Oldfield. This follows Henley Choral Society’s sell-out performance of The Creation in Reading in 2012.
To attend the Workshop, please print and return the attached application form. We hope the form provides all relevant information but please do not hesitate to contact Jenny Fleming, the Workshop Coordinator on 01491 575165 email: firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. You can also find the application form on www.henleychoralsociety.org.uk
The deadline for early-bird applications is nearly on us so do email Jenny as soon as possible.
If people are unable to attend the Workshop, but would still like the opportunity to sing the Verdi Requiem in Reading in June, then please email Jenny for more details.
