Veda Slovena Bulgarian Choir now recruiting all voice types

Veda Slovena is a mixed-voice choir specialising in traditional Bulgarian sacred and secular vocal music, based at University College London. Following in the footsteps of such distinguished predecessors as the world famous Le Mystere de Voix Bulgares, who won a Grammy award in 1989 and brought Bulgarian folk to worldwide audiences, we are committed to preserving and celebrating this unique style of singing.
With an international cast of singers we are a living proof that true musical beauty and wisdom know no borders - neither national nor spiritual.
Our choir is led by native Bulgarian singer Eugenia Georgieva who provides vocal training, choral advice and pronunciation coaching.
The group is open to everyone with a passion for stunning Bulgarian harmonies, and currently we are recruiting all voice types. Sight-reading skills or previous experience are not required. All texts are transliterated and translated.
Rehearsals every Wednesday starting from 4th September, 19.00 - 21.00 at UCL, room G03, 26 Bedford Way,London, WC1H 0DS. Subscription fee applies. To join please email eugenia.georgieva@gmail.com
