Choral Weekend in Dunster February 7-9th 2014 Can't Post

The Yarn Market Hotel would like to make you aware of an event taking place in Dunster, Exmoor, next month. Due to two last minute cancellations of rooms on grounds of illness we unusually have a few residential places available, so we would like to offer anyone interested the opportunity to take part.

The works to be studied this year are the Requiems by the French composers, Faure and Durufle. This is a deliberate pairing of one well-known work with one slightly less familiar, to allow time to work on choral and vocal technique as well as learning the music.

The weekend is led by Ian Chesworth, a talented singer, conductor and vocal coach from Manchester. Ian has directed Choral Societies for many years, and recently has been the conductor for the Liverpool Philharmonic Super Sing series. He also trains choirs alongside Gareth Malone on ‘The Choir’ series on BBC 2, being responsible in the last season for the Cheshire Fire Brigade choir. He is a charismatic leader, and has much to offer both novice and experienced singers.

The weekend is on a residential full board basis at £205.00 per person sharing a double or twin room or £250.00 for single occupancy, and includes all meals, coffee breaks, tuition, and singing. For further details please see the attachment to this message, and if any more information is needed, please do not hesitate to contact the Hotel either by phone (01643 821425) or email, (hotel@yarnmarkethotel.co.uk) and if anyone is interested in booking I suggest they contact us promptly as I am sure the places will soon fill.

We would be delighted to welcome you to Dunster.
