SARTEANO CHAMBER CHORAL CONDUCTING WORKSHOP
A Collaborative Experience with Simon Carrington, Bronislawa Falinska & Brian O'Connell
26 July - 2 August 2014, Sarteano (Tuscany), Italy

Due to two unforeseen cancellations, we have two Full Conductor positions open (one tenor/one soprano). And we are now creating a waiting list for our final Conducting Auditor position, as we may have a possible opening.

Full Conductors - daily podium time to rehearse your assigned piece in Simon Carrington’s daily 4.5 hour Master Class. You will conduct this piece in the final concert.

Conducting Auditors - you’ll have a private filmed lesson with Simon and conduct in the morning session. Also, over the course of the week, two Conducting Auditors are chosen to rehearse the ensemble and conduct a piece in the final concert (like Full Conductors) from the Conducting Auditor's morning repertoire list.

Our workshop is geared to choral musicians with strong vocal ability that have serious interest in rehearsing and performing unaccompanied chamber choral music. The ensemble is made from the participants – EVERYONE sings. Our goal is to develop rehearsal technique through listening skills development, ensemble building though effective verbal and non-verbal communication and group dynamic skills.
Everyone sings in the Master Class, where you will explore new repertoire from all eras. Discover a different approach to your singing voice with Bronislawa Falinska and the Rohmert Method. Come join 28-30 conductor/singers from all over the world, in Tuscany, from July 26th to August 2nd.
We are an exciting and collaborative music workshop for conductors, music educators and singers, who are interested in rehearsal techniques and love singing in a chamber choral setting.
