Singers needed Whitehall Choir Central London Can't Post

ABOUT US
Whitehall Choir enjoys a fine reputation for
first-class amateur choral singing. We offer
enthusiastic and talented singers the chance
to sing a varied repertoire in a relaxed and
friendly atmosphere. Our 70 members include
lawyers, medics, teachers, engineers and other
professionals and, as our name suggests, civil
servants. We are proud to have the distinguished
musician Paul Spicer as our Director of Music.

WHEN and Where
Rehearsals take place every Tuesday evening
during term time, from 6.30 to 9pm,
at St Stephen’s, Rochester Row, London
SW1P 1LE, which is a 10-minute walk from
both St James’s Park and Victoria tube
stations. Next season’s terms begin on:
2 September 2014 (Autumn), 6 January 2015
(Spring) and 14 April 2015 (Summer).

PERFORMANCE VENUES
The Choir performs four times a year in
central London venues, including St John’s
Smith Square; The Banqueting House;
St Alban the Martyr, Holborn; Holy Trinity
Sloane Square; and St Peter’s Eaton Square.
Our Christmas concert of music and readings
takes place each December at St Stephen’s.

EVENTS AND RECORDINGS
The Choir organises workshops, Come & Sing
days and occasional tours abroad – we are
planning a tour to Vienna for May 2016.
Last spring we recorded our third CD,
Ascendit, featuring music, from Baroque to
the 21st century, for Passiontide to Ascension,
which will be available very soon.
