The Dover House Singers was formed as a community choir in 2005, and has grown from around 20 to 30 -40 singers within the last two years. It is a non-auditioned choir which sings music of all styles including Classical, Folk, World and Popular music. We sing both a cappella and accompanied pieces (piano).
We usually perform at least one evening concert at St Margaretís Church each year and participate at various other local events. Three recordings of songs from our April 2014 Concert can be found by scrolling down the Home page of our website: www.doverhousesingers.co.uk
Our group is currently under the direction of the Head of Music at Kingston Grammar School who will shortly have been with us for 2 years. Before that we were under the direction of an experienced conductor who studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and also sang at Southwark Cathedral before returning to Australia after 3 years with us.
