FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN’s ‘THE CREATION’ A workshop day with Dulwich Choral Society Spend a day exploring the music and background of Haydn’s exuberant and ever-delightful Creation in depth, led by Dulwich Choral Society’s music director Aidan Oliver. Expert vocal coach Katie Thomas (BBC Symphony Chorus vocal coach and Monteverdi Choir member) will be also on hand to lead invigorating warm-ups and to give tips on getting the most out of Haydn’s choral parts. Saturday 17 September 2016 St Barnabas Church, Calton Avenue, Dulwich Village SE21 7DG Free parking available in Calton Ave; North Dulwich rail station is 7 mins walk away. Dulwich Village is served by the 37 and P4 bus routes. Schedule for the day: from 10.15am: arrival and welcome 10.45am: Session 1 (including coffee break) 1.15pm: Lunch (bring packed lunch or visit Dulwich Village) 2.00pm: Session 2 (including tea break) 4.15pm End Suggested contribution of £15 towards costs Tea, coffee and cake provided (donations of cake warmly welcomed!) We will be using Novello edition (sung in English) - Please bring your own copy (preferably of the New Novello edition, but older is OK too).
