Imari Chorus near Nottingham/Derby

The Imari Ladies Barbershop Chorus would like to announce the appointment of their new Musical Director Sharon Stansfield.
Sharon is new to choirs but not new to conducting. She is the Musical Director of the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band ( www.lespb.co.uk ) and also bandleader and lead trumpet of the Anything Blows Dance band. ( www.anythingblows.co.uk )
Sharon has been playing brass instruments since the age of nine, and teaches brass from home, see her website for details www.sharonstansfield.co.uk
Imari takes its name from the famous pattern of Crown Derby china and is based in Erewash.
The chorus is currently recruiting both experienced and less experienced singers, and they rehearse once a week on a Thursday evening.
The chorus have recently performed for the Inner Wheel at Horsley Lodge where they were extremely well received and they look forward to performing at Stanley Flower Festival soon.
