Reading Phoenix Choir open rehearsal Can't Post

Enjoy singing? Ever thought of joining a choir? Then Reading Phoenix Choir would like to hear from you as the choir is looking for new members – tenors and basses in particular – to join its ranks.

The 50-strong choir, which rehearses in Woodley, Reading every Monday during termtime, has a busy concert schedule, boosted by competitions, tours, and television and radio appearances. During the 2002/03 season, Phoenix reached the adult final of Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year, toured Finland and Estonia, appeared on Songs of Praise and recorded several programmes for BBC Radio 2.

Although the choir works hard to maintain its reputation as one of the UK’s leading adult chamber choirs, it has a programme of social events too, including barbecues and outings.

If you would like to find out more then come along to our open rehearsal on Thursday 11 September at 8pm when you will have the chance to sing with the choir then chat with us over a drink or two and find out more about life in Reading Phoenix Choir. The open evening will take place at our rehearsal venue – Southlake Primary School, Campbell Road, Woodley, Reading.

For more information and to book your place, please call choir secretary Sarah Webb on 0118 954 6962 or 07776 181453, or email
sarahcwebb@yahoo.co.uk

If you would like to find out more about the choir then visit our website,

We look forward to meeting you.
