Singers wanted, Kidderminster Parish Church, Worcestershire Can't Post

St. Mary and All Saints is the ancient Parish Church of Kidderminster, North Worcestershire. It hosts many civic and other important services throughout the year. It is also in increasing demand as a venue for musical and artistic events.

The choir, which was re-formed last year (there having been no choir for some years), now numbers 2/3 basses, 1 tenor, 3 altos, 4 sopranos.

The repertory is traditional, and we have performed a classical Mass liturgically (Haydn's Kleineorgelmesse) with orchestra.

There is a 3 manual Hill organ and Steinway upright piano in the church, but due to logistics we do a lot of unaccompanied material.

We work hard, but enjoy ourselves too - a sense of humour may be needed!

We will soon be starting a Junior choir, but need more adult singers to enable us to do more.

We want more singers in all voices, particularly Tenors. Sight reading is not required, but very welcome. The only musical requirement is the ability to sing in tune without excessive vibrato.

Services are at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays (rehearsal at 10:00 a.m.)

Weekly rehearsal 7:30 p.m. on Fridays
